I’m Stephen Jack, the author of The Devil’s Chow: A Chinese Food History. I hail from Bendigo, Australia, home to one of the oldest Chinese restaurants in the world. A former train driver, teacher and journalist, I live now in Taiwan where I work as a copywriter, marketing consultant and write about Chinese food. I have appeared on the television series Bizarre Foods with Andrew Zimmern, and my writing has featured in various publications.
