about eating china
Eating China is about Chinese food culture and history, in both China and Taiwan. See Articles or Blog for my own scribbles, Facts for short bits and peices, and Recipes for authentic Chinese dishes. The 'China' of the title refers to Chinese food, rather than the geographic place.

about stephen jack
Taichung, Taiwan is where I can normally be found. My writing has appeared here and there. Deliciously Malodorous was excerpted in Well Read 3 Student Book, published by Oxford University Press. Rirkrit Tiravanija sampled from Great Leftovers for his play performed at London's Serpentine Gallery in 2005. Eating China has featured on the websites of Wall Street Journal Asia, National Geographic, and China Daily. I was a guest on the TV program Bizarre Foods (read about filming in Taipei). I review books or other media related to Chinese or Asian food. Contact me if you have something you would like reviewed.
